Ok. My mom is on Twitter. She never told me and only posted once about 4 months ago. I beg of you to all add her and send her direct messages begging her to post! That is all
This was a huge website last year. OfficeMax’s Elf Yourself is back and it hasn’t changed at all. Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ever left! Enjoy. Elf Yourself
I’ve been focusing all of my energy on Macworld for the past 15 days. This trend will continue through mid-january. I’m terribly sorry but there won’t be any “adamjacksonlive” casts until then either. All of my information goes towards Macworld and won’t stop until the week after expo. Thanks for your support and I’ll try to continue posting thoughts here.
I began my black friday extravaganza at 8AM EST this day. I’m going to continue and update this if you don’t want to follow me on Twitter.
1. Got pooped on by a hippo
2. Went to the VA clinic and donated a kidney to a hobo
3. Went water skiiing with Will Smith
4. Stuffed my pants with fish and went to petco to volunteer in the cat department
5. Went sky diving with John Travolta
On Friday, I’m taking the day off. I won’t be at lined up outside of Best Buy or The Apple Store to get savings on tons of cool tech gadgets. Instead, I’ll be taking the day off to PLAY HOOKIE! Here’s the deal….
I’ll be taking the day off and I’m going to do a sort of “pee wee’s big adventure” and twitter the whole ting.Expect nearly 200-300 tweets from me that day (apologies in advance) but here are some general highlights:
1. Riding a rollercoaster
2. Going Jetskiing
3. Skydiving
4. Deep Sea Fishing
5. Lunch with some hobos
6. Get tested for HIV
7. Attend a funeral and a wedding both within an hour of each other
8. Donate a kidney to science
9. Give Blood
10. MUCH MUCH MORE!
It’s going to be the most exciting day a twitterer has ever taken part in.
Twitter.com is broken *sad face*. Well there’s always… EXACTLY! THERE’S NOTHING ELSE ON THE INTERNET THAT COMPARES TO TWITTER! I must have my fix. There is so much to talk about and I can’t put it in a crap load of blog posts.
Drove to work, brakes failed, went to mechanic, maybe its under warranty and maybe its not, my friend picked me up and brought me to work, i’ve got an overload of service tickets, very busy day today, i have the night to myself for once (laura is going out with friends for dinner), i’m drinking coffee, expecint a call from the mechanic anytime, my iPhone freaking rox, i have the do da do do song stuck in my head…
Those are all twitter posts that were never twittered because it’s down! screw you twitter I hope you burn. I don’t mean that. I love you twitter.
Since I got back from the camping trip, my brakes haven’t been what they used to be. I got a full brake job last December and even replaced all lines and the E-brake. There’s no rubbing or rotor damage it just feels like I don’t have any brake pressure. i ignored it for the most part until today when I was on my way to work and leaving my side road into a busy intersection and hit the brakes and I didn’t stop….
At 40 miles per hour I rolled toward the intersection. I cut the power and jacked the E-brake and managed to make it out alive without hitting anyone but I immediately cranked the car up and drove (yea I drove) to my mechanic which I believe said those brakes have a 36,000 mile warranty and I’ve probably driven about 12 thousand this year. It appears to just be leakage so they’re checking it out and will get back to me today.
However, pretty freaking scary. I attempted to twitter but it appears twitter is down so a blog post will suffice.
More shameless self promotion. I hit 10 thousand tweets on Twitter.com just a few moments ago. I know it’s not a huge deal and just means I’m more of a loser but either way I’m pretty excited since I’ve been tweeting daily since late March. It’s been a part time job in my opinion and 10 thousand tweets is a huge deal. I’m still ranked 37 on twitterholic but the top 25 aren’t even real people and are just news bots so that’s pretty cool as well.
Anyway you can follow me on twitter if you don’t mind a lot of posts. http://twitter.com/adamjackson
I’ve been Tweeting for a while about my upcoming camping trip. It’s a yearly thing that our company does. We have the two newest employees stay back and us old timers head out to the Suwanee river for some team building fun. I’ve been here for three years and this is the first time I’ve gone. The first year, I was the new guy. The second year, I had a martial arts camping retreat that same weekend. This time, I’m finally going to go.
Unfortunately, I’m sick this year which is very unfortunate. Laura and my coworkers had it and I’m last to get it. I will be sick while on the river but I can’t miss it. I’ve been waiting three years. So the details are simple.
7 Guys
5 days (Thursday - Monday)
26 miles (in canoes)
All drinks, food, community supplies, canoes and transportation is paid for.
We’re all bringing our own personal gear and will spend about 3 hours a day canoeing and the rest will be exploring the woods, bonding and relaxing.
Another thing, we’re a networking company (computers) and there’s zero cell service out there. We’ll be in north florida and out of contact with the rest of the world for five days. It’s going to be awesome and I can’t wait!
So, we’re leaving tomorrow morning and I won’t be tweeting until Monday night. Just a heads up.
It appears that this episode has gone viral. I’m starting to get fan letters even! This appeared in my mailbox yesterday attached to a bottle of honey…
