I’m going to buy a Flip Video Mino so there will be more videos on the site. I have most of the funds but I’ve started a ChipIn Fund for $100 to help subsidize the $180 price tag. This camera is going to help my video podcast, coverage of events and day in the life blogs on YouTube that I’m starting next month.

I’ve been focusing all of my energy on Macworld for the past 15 days. This trend will continue through mid-january. I’m terribly sorry but there won’t be any “adamjacksonlive” casts until then either. All of my information goes towards Macworld and won’t stop until the week after expo. Thanks for your support and I’ll try to continue posting thoughts here.

I’ve been Tweeting for a while about my upcoming camping trip. It’s a yearly thing that our company does. We have the two newest employees stay back and us old timers head out to the Suwanee river for some team building fun. I’ve been here for three years and this is the first time I’ve gone. The first year, I was the new guy. The second year, I had a martial arts camping retreat that same weekend. This time, I’m finally going to go.
Unfortunately, I’m sick this year which is very unfortunate. Laura and my coworkers had it and I’m last to get it. I will be sick while on the river but I can’t miss it. I’ve been waiting three years. So the details are simple.
7 Guys
5 days (Thursday - Monday)
26 miles (in canoes)
All drinks, food, community supplies, canoes and transportation is paid for.
We’re all bringing our own personal gear and will spend about 3 hours a day canoeing and the rest will be exploring the woods, bonding and relaxing.
Another thing, we’re a networking company (computers) and there’s zero cell service out there. We’ll be in north florida and out of contact with the rest of the world for five days. It’s going to be awesome and I can’t wait!
So, we’re leaving tomorrow morning and I won’t be tweeting until Monday night. Just a heads up.

I’ll be attending BlogOrlando tomorrow from 8:00 AM to 5:00PM EST. The program is organized by Josh Hallet. I met Josh through a client of mine. A local landmark contracted Josh to work deploy their corporate blog and after hearing his name I did some googling and found him on the interwebs.
I also saw that he organized an “unconference” every year called BlogOrlando. I signed up and tomorrow i”m taking the day off from work to head to Orlando and attend the conference. It’s a full day with an hour for lunch. They’ll have Wi-fi so you can bet your arse that I’ll be streaming / twittering / blogging and whatever else I do when Internet is free and available. Please watch the stream over at http://justin.tv/adamjacksonlive and follow my updates on http://twitter.com/adamjackson You can also check out my photos through the day at http://flickr.com/photos/adamjackson
On a side note, I can’t wait to see Judson Collier! I last saw him back in 2005. He’s a teen blogger / web designer / photographer and “spends way too much money at Starbucks.” He was a Mac fanboy back when I worked at the Apple Store and hung out there on a weekly basis. On the release day of Tiger (April 29th), his dad bought him a new 15″ Powerbook and he was officially a Mac user. He then started working for Macteens and now Judson is leading a conference track on blogging at the conference tomorrow. I’ve uploaded a pic of Judson. It’s been nearly 2.5 years since I’ve seen him. Ahh, memories…

Anyway. See you all tomorrow on JTV, Twitter and possibly in person!

This is my blog. I’ve been blogging since 2002 on Livejournal, a few technology blogs and then I started MyPersonalGetaway in 2004. I continued writing there along with a few writers until August of 2006 when I took it down to launch DailyTechTalk. DTT launched in October of that year and we hosted our fourth coverage of Macworld Expo in January of this year.
I’ve been running DailyTechTalk for almost a year and I haven’t had a personal blog in 5 years so I think it’s time to start blogging about my life again. I micro-blog on Twitter, lifecast on Justin.TV and occasionally rant on DTT and podcasts but this will be self expression at its best and I hope to keep you entertained. Add us to your RSS feed and I can’t wait to express myself in a new way.
